Atlas Soft Web celebrated the completion of its five incredible years in the industry in a grand manner. The Annual General meeting was held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ahmedabad on 7th November 2016. Mr. Vinay Umarji graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He not only expressed his happiness in the amazing growth of Atlas Soft Web, but also made it a point to share a few words of wisdom with the audience.

Mr. Vinay Umarji extended his hearty congratulations to the firm in completing five years in the business. He pointed out the fact that 9 out of 10 startups in India fail in the first two years since inception. So, when we say that a startup like Atlas Soft Web stood the test of time and attained a milestone, then it is definitely a moment to rejoice and celebrate. As the guest speaker, he also threw light upon some reports and facts. World Bank says that India stands to lose 69% of its jobs on account of automation. Now much of these jobs are likely to be impacted in the secondary sector. And companies like Atlas in the tertiary sector can contribute to the Indian economy by way of providing jobs as well as bringing international business to Indian shore. Government of India, with its ambitious Make in India project has given rise to Start-up India. This means, that while the manufacturing sector will have to pull up its socks, the next round of job and economic growth will come through start-ups. And that is why Mr. Vinay Umarji said that the real story of Atlas is just about to begin.

The chief guest also made an amazing attempt at creating an acronym from the word ATLAS. Through such an elaboration, he presented the five major things that any business or an individual need for attaining a longer sustained growth. ‘A’ stands for Adept, which means being skilled or being proficient in something. According to Mr. Vinay, a start-up needs to be adept enough to know its product and market. The second letter ‘T’ stands for Team over Talent. Most of the start-ups overlook the importance of team management and communication. Even though talent and brilliance is crucial to business, team work possesses an upper hand in the workplace. He emphasized the fact that it is always people over processes and team over talent. The third letter ‘L’ stands for Leadership and Legacy, which he explained by pointing out the recent fiasco at Tata group as an example. As a startup, Atlas Soft Web needs to plan a roadmap of what kind of legacy it wants to leave behind. The fourth letter ‘A’ denotes Adaptability which signifies the importance of flexibility.

By providing the examples of PayPal, Flickr and Snapdeal, he urged the audience to remain flexible for any change or evolution in business model down the line. The final letter ‘S’ denotes Sound sleep. By Sound sleep, Mr. Vinay Umarji implies ethical and morality of doing business. He described the value of integrity and ethics which further ensures lifelong healthy relations within and outside the organization. And as he wrapped up his thoughts, Mr. Vinay Umarji hailed the Atlas team for its remarkable five-year long journey.
